I've been doing a lot of reading on this and I've seen that there isn't a difference as far as ranking is concerned. However, subdomains can be a real pain if your DNS is acting up, as each subdomain can be down too. Also, makes using mod_rewrite a little more tricky.
I'll stick with xyz.com/boo. |

Yes I have experience that search engines are not well with subdomains
Just some hosting specifications may be more for subdomains than subfolders such as ftp account, email setup ... etc |

subfolder are just part of the site while subdomain is considered as a seperate website so if we create subdomain, we must know technically more details how to setup, configure etc. If we create a subfolder, nothing to worry. Just need to say to the hosting company that this is not working and they will rectify it without any additional charge.
