Sometimes when I log into admin, click approve (or anything for that matter) and it loads up the homepage of the directory. The URL in the browser is correct, but the homepage is showing. Anyone else had/got this problem or know how to fix it?

Yes, you should try and re-upload your .htaccess file. Many webmasters don't realize that the .htaccess file is very important, and it may cause many errors. Do so, also make sure that you clear your browser cache at times, I have personally received tons of errors due to my browser cache.
