Is it even worth submitting to PR0 Directories?

I want to submit my website to as many directories as possible. But is it really worth spending my time submitting to PR0 (Page Rank Zero) directories?

How can one be sure that we get quality links by submitting to PR 0s.

Matt Cutts says that any link is valuable whether it is PR0 or PR1 or PR8.

Important is how better it is for users, which matters.

Pr 0 can mean a penalized site but not always. I remember once i have started a directory with 1 week before google updated pr, i didnt manage to get many backlinks (just a few) so i got 0.

Drv, that's ok. I my opinion, PR 0 holds a juice still.

There has been a lot written and a lot debated about PageRank, but on one point there is near unanimous agreement. PageRank is primarily determined by how many other web pages are linking into you. Google considers this kind of inbound a link a vote of confidence.

PR can be divide into threee categories:
0-3: New sites or sites with very minimal links
4-5: Popular sites with a fair amount of inbound links
6: Very popular sites that have hundreds of links, many of them quality links
7-10: Usually media brands (NYTimes.com), big companies or A-list bloggers.

So more a webpage have a PR, more better it will be.

But it does not mean that PR 0 does not hold any value. I feel it holds value.

People have confusion that PR0 means banned site. But this is not always.

Sanjay,

Do not try to confuse others. There is no category of PR.

It is always 0 to 10 without any segementation.

I do not know from where this rumors reached you.
