Do you submit to sites requiring reciprocal links?

I usually avoid doing that because I feel it's just not worth it. Reciprocal means having to find a place to place the links. If that's the case having too many of them will mean the main page will be full of directory links. Any thoughts or view on this?

I agree, the resiprocal link checkers are annoying. They do not always work right, we have wasted too much time adding links and then they get refused by the checker we simply gave up on these kinds of directories.

Basically our rule of thumb is simple, we simply accept any directory submitted to Search Europe and in return we hope that other directories do the same thing.

Sometimes when you just have too many of them, you will not know where to place it. Even if you create another dedicated page, they will not accept it as well, because they only want the links to be placed at the main index. That's why when it comes to reciprocal directory, I don't waste my time submitting to them.

i usually only reciprocal to high PR directory. I do wonder how long does those directories keep the links posted?

When directory has high Pr and it has put your link on a page which has at least 1 pr and is indexed by google frequently,then you can exchange link with directory.

Although,it is very hard to find this kind of scenario but who knows you may get it.
