Smile Approval Process on Submissions

Hi,

Would like to know how other people are going about approving their submissions? I view each site and ensure it meets the submission guideline. I then ensure that the submission is in the right category, change it if necessary and then approve. Does everyone do this or am I just taking to much time on each one? I'm getting about 200 submissions a day and I'm just getting started so I can see how once your site get popular it would be hard to keep up with. Any short cuts to this?

Thanks,
Ray

Cool

Hi,

Really looking for some feedback. Are some of you just doing the check all and making them active and then running the validate links and then deleting those sites who fall out? It's more of a process that I'm looking for on how others are doing it? Maybe it's just a dumb question, and if it is... sorry...

Ray

Default ranking algorithm

We have built our own ranking algorithm for the submissions, they get ranked based on criteria we have programmed. So a site that meets our ranking criteria is usually approved faster than others.

I am also falling behind on my approvals. I've started deleting submissions a lot quicker than I used to, because one thing I've noticed: There are A LOT of crappy websites out there that add nothing to the internet overall.

Any site that is made for affiliate programs, or is just there for AdSense, gets immediately deleted without another glance. If I can't tell what the site is for, I delete the submission. Also, if I get just the slightest inkling that the site is a front for a scam...I delete those right away too. Doing all those deletes really speeds up the process

Other than that, I am also visiting every site, making sure there is valid content and I usually visit several pages. No pages "under construction", no "shopping" sites that just pass you off to another site, no sites that are just listings for ebay, etc. Then I make sure they are in an appropriate category and approve.
