I have come across a couple of bidding directories in the last few days that have a PR5/6 on the home page; but the internal pages have no PR (and in one case the pages are not even indexed). When I check their backlinks on Yahoo, they have <100 and checking those, none of them are close to being sufficient for a PR5 or 6.

I know its possible to spoof the visible PR via some sort of redirect, as I have seen it written about before, but can not find it anymore.. Anyone recall how its done and how to check for it?

To me, its obvious that these bidding directories are probably doing it to run a scam.
