Got back online this week after a 5 day vacation. Everything is up to date here on DC:

Here’s what I’ve just done…

  • 80 directories have been reviewed
  • 108 ratings have been reviewed
  • 5 directories upgraded to premium
  • 50 emails replied to
  • 3 new advertisers added
  • Weekly average points have been updated

A lot can happen in 5 days :)

Last night, one of the hard drives on our servers failed. The result was the website going down for about 8-10 hours and some minor data lost. We restored a backup from the 13th of September so only a few days data was lost.

If you submitted your web directory after the 13th of September please resubmit it here:

http://www.directorycritic.com/add.html

If you paid for a listing, or upgraded to a premium listing please add your web directory then contact us. We will verify you made a previous payment and add your directory back to the site.

There might be a few minor glitches over the next 24 hours while we get everything back up 100%. If you find any problems throughout the site please don’t hesitate to contact us and report them.

Thanks for your patience, we’re working hard to get Directory Critic fully operational again!

New Alive Blog Directory, Check It Out!

I’d be surprised that anyone reading this post has not heard of Alive Web Directory. Alive is one of the most well-promoted and quality directories on the web today. It’s always on my “must submit” list of directories I submit my new sites to.

Alive Directory has just launched a new blog directory. The blog directory has been built on the Alive Directory domain and will benefit from the authority, traffic and backlinks. Like the main Alive Directory, Alive’s blog directory has a huge selection of categories and submission options. You can choose from yearly or permanent listings and deep linking options are also available.

I have always valued Alive Directory as one of the best in the business, and I think if you own a blog you should definitely consider submitting it to Alive’s new blog directory.

Note: This was not a paid post. I always disclose paid posts on this blog. I genuinely do submit my sites to Alive Directory and recommend it to Directory Critic visitors.
